World on Wheels
World on Wheels ( WoW) is a Corporate Responsibility program of Merck Group to support the environment protection issue. WoW was initiated by SompornMunintarawong, an employee of Merck Thailand, that rode his bike across Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand from April until May 2010.
The objective of this event is to campaign to the society about the importance of reducing the emission on order to save our environment.
During the WoW, Somporn started his journey from Bali to the cities on East, Central, West Java and Jakarta. From Indonesia, he continued the journey to Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand.
WoW is a real action that showed that Merck Group supports the environmental protection activity. Biking is one solution that significantly can reduce the emission production, just like what Somporn do in his journey.
Somporn’s last route in Indonesia is Bogor – Jakarta. He rode together with some colleagues from Merck Indonesia and people from Bike to Work community to Merck office at East Jakarta. Here, Somporn shared his experiences doing the WoW journey to all of Merck employees.
We hope WoW could inspiring people to do the real actions in protecting our environment.
