Born in 1959 and a Thai citizen, Sumonta Achachotipong is a pharmacist from Mahidol University, Bangkok. She also studied International Marketing at Institut Superior de Gestion, France. She joined Merck Limited, Thailand in 1995, before going on to serve at Merck KGaA as the Regional Marketing Manager for Western Europe.

Nils Kristian Moen
Born in 1968 and a Norwegian citizen, Nils Kristian Moen studied International Management in a Masters Degree level at the Centre for Education and Research in Applied Management, Sophia Antipolis, France. He also has a Masters Degree in Biochemical Engineering from the Norwegian Institute of Technology in Norway. He joined Merck KGaA as the M&A Project manager, Pharmaceuticals, Laboratory & Chemicals in 2000. Since 2004, he has been working in the Consumer Health Care Division overseeing the Asian markets. In 2009, he was appointed as a member of the Board of Directors of PT Merck Tbk.
